GoDaddy provides very basic, but solid hosting. They are perfect for newbies or those not needing a lot of features and access to services like php. Support can be kind of slow to respond to problems.

GoDaddy is a decent web hosting company. Very basic services, but the uptime is good and the price is good. Support kind of slow. Good hosting company for those needing basic hosting service with no frills.

GoDaddy is a decent host with good uptime and my sites were always responsive, never seemed slow.
GoDaddy does however have some down sides. Like charging you for everything that other hosts and domain name registers give away. For example charging for site analytics, when Google gives it for free and the analytics are much better. Also, you do not have the access to other features like you do with hosting companies like HostGator.
